Peekaboo® Early Gender DNA Blood Test

The Peekaboo® Early Gender DNA Blood Test can be performed as early as 6 weeks into pregnancy. Please be sure you are at least 6 weeks pregnant before scheduling your appointment. Vital Labs does not verify or track gestational age, so it is your responsibility to confirm how far along you are before booking. If your specimen is collected before 6 weeks and the laboratory is unable to provide a result, a new appointment and additional testing fee will be required for retesting.

Result turnaround time typically takes 24-48 hours once specimen is received by the laboratory. An email will be sent directly to you by Peekaboo, if you haven't received them please notify us. Appointments are available Monday through Friday to help ensure your specimen reaches the laboratory for processing. 

Yes. The test requires only a routine maternal blood draw and is non-invasive to both mother and baby.

To help maintain specimen integrity and minimize the risk of contamination, only the expectant mother may be present during the blood collection. Partners, family members, children and other guests should remain outside the collection area until draw is complete.

Drink plenty of water before your appointment to help make your blood draw easier. Please choose a clean, well-lit area and disinfect the collection surface before your appointment according to Peekaboo's collection guidelines. Hygiene is important and wear clothes that allows easy access to arms.
